The Wall Street Journal. is a international daily newspaper published in New York
City by Dow Jones & Company, a division of News Corporation. It primarily covers American economic and international business topics, financial news concerns 
and issues.The Journal is the largest newspaper in the U.S.,by circulation according
to the Audit Bureau of Circulations. On July 8, 1889, the first issue of The Wall Street Journal (above), featuring four pages and costing two cents, was published. Pictured below is Charles Dow, the founder of The Wall Street Journal.

Singer Steve Lawrence probably best known as a member of a duo with his
wife Eydie Gormé , billed as Steve and Eydie (below). The couple appeared
regularly on Steve Allen’s The Tonight Show in the mid-1950s.

THE EVERLY BROTHERS TV SHOW ~ ON THIS DATE IN 1970

The Everly Brothers Show was a one-hour musical variety show on the ABC
television network. It began as a summer replacement in 1970 for The Johnny
Cash Show
and aired till September 16, 1970. Warner Bros. Records released
a double LP at the same time, but the album (shown above) was not a soundtrack
to the TV series.
