”The Twist”. The song popularized a new dance craze and in September 2008
it topped Billboard’s list of the most popular singles to have appeared in the Hot
100 since its debut in 1958,
Happy birthday friend. I remember when we were both in the top ten on Billboard’s Hot 100 at the same time, the week of August 15th 1960! You with your future number one hit, “The Twist” and I had just made it to number six with “Walkin’ To New Orleans.Yes, “Those Were The Days” my friend, oh wait, that was Mary Hopkin in 1968!
