BORN ON THIS DAY IN 1912

Foster Brooks (May 11, 1912 – December 20, 2001)

Actor Foster Brooks was a drunk on TV, but straight as an
arrow in real life. He received an Emmy nomination in 1974
for his portrayal of the lovable lush comedian on The Dean
Martin Show
(NBC). He started his career in radio working
as a staff announcer in his home town of Louisville, Kentucky.
