Charlton Heston (born John Charles Carter in California)
(October 4, 1923 – April 5, 2008)

Oscar winner and three-term president of the NRA, Charlton
Heston starred in Planet of the Apes (1968) Ben Hur (1958)
and is best known for his 1956 role as Moses in The Ten
Commandments.
He appeared in over 100 films during a
6-decade career.

JACK LARSON DIES AT 87


Jack Edward Larson (February 8, 1928 – September 20, 2015)

Larson, an actor, playwright, producer and screenwriter best known
for his portrayal of cub reporter Jimmy Olson in the syndicated TV
series "The Adventures of Superman," died Sunday in his Brentwood
home.

Yvonne Joyce Craig (May 16, 1937 – August 17, 2015)

Yvonne was a ballet dancer and actress best known for her role
as Batgirl from the 1960s ABC television series Batman, and as
the Orion slave girl Marta in the Star Trek: The Original Series 
on NBC. Craig died at her home in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles,
on Monday from metastatic breast cancer that had spread to her
liver.

(AP) – Six decades after "Gunsmoke" debuted on television, several actors who appeared in the show, including Burt Reynolds, are scheduled to reunite in
Dodge City.

The Wichita Eagle reports the actors will attend Wild West Fest on Sept. 25-27
hosted by the Boot Hill Casino & Resort, the Wild West Heritage Foundation and
the Roundup Rodeo.

Besides Reynolds, who portrayed blacksmith Quint Asper from 1962 to 1965, also attending are Bruce Boxleitner, Buck Taylor, Jess Walton, Lane Bradbury and
Merry Florene.

"Gunsmoke" ran on CBS from 1955 through 1975 and was nominated for more
than a dozen Emmys.

Other key actors from the show have died, including James Arness, who starred
as Marshal Matt Dillon; Amanda Blake, who played Miss Kitty; Dennis Weaver
who portrayed Chester Goode, and Milburn Stone, who was Doc Adams.

Trivia: When aired in the UK, the television series “Gunsmoke” was
initially titled “Gun Law”.

Terrence Evans (June 20, 1934 – August 7, 2015)

(Variety) – Terrence Evans, who appeared in TV shows and movies such as
“Pale Rider” (1985) and “Terminator 2: Judgement Day,” (1991), is dead. 

The numerous TV series, included “Hart to Hart,” “The Golden Girls,” “Fresh
Prince of Bel Air,” “The Incredible Hulk,” “The A-Team” and “Hill St. Blues.” He
passed away August 7 in Burbank, California.
