RELEASED ON THIS DAY IN 1967

The song "You’re My Everything" was recorded by The Temptations and was 
first of three singles (and four songs) to be co-written for the group by Motown songwriter Roger Penzabene. It reached number three on the R&B chart and
number six on the Pop chart. The record became the third single from the
group’s 1967 album The Temptations with a Lot o’ Soul.

ALBUM RELEASED ON THIS DAY IN 1967

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth studio album by the
Beatles
. It was an immediate commercial and critical success, spending
15 weeks at number one in America.Time magazine declared it "a historic
departure in the progress of music" and the New Statesman praised its
elevation of pop to the level of fine art. It won four Grammy Awards in
1968, including Album of the Year, the first rock LP to receive this honor.

SINGER-SONGWRITER IS 71 TODAY


Robert Clark "Bob" Seger was born in Lincoln Park, Michigan.

Rock and roll singer-songwriter Bob Seger rose to fame in the 1970s,
achieving success both as a solo artist and as the frontman for the
silver Bullet Band. His many popular songs include "Turn the Page,"
"Night Moves," "Old Time Rock & Roll" and "Against the Wind."  He
also co-wrote the Eagles’ song "Heartache Tonight," from their hit
1979 album The Long Run. The song reached #1 on the Billboard
Hot 100 and the single sold over a million copies. Seger has stated
that singer Little Richard was the artist who inspired him to become
