Marlon Brando Jr.
(April 3, 1924 – July 1, 2004)

A vintage
Vespa ridden by Hollywood legend Marlon Brando – illegally –
while visiting Britain is to go under the hammer.

Double-Oscar winner Brando rode the iconic Italian scooter around
Berkshire – even though it was not registered in the
U.K.

Brando’s “fun runaround” belonged to his American movie producer
pal Elliot Kastner, who he worked with on 1976 American epic western
"Missouri Breaks."

Kastner, best known for producing World War Two classic Where Eagles
Dare, bought the 1976 Vespa in Rome for a film shoot. He later shipped
it to England where he owned Runnymede House, a country home in
Old Windsor, Berkshire.

MEDIEVAL RING HAS BEEN REDISCOVERED

(Fox News) – A British man who
unearthed an estimated 670-year-old medieval
ring in the late 1970s recently rediscovered it hidden in storage boxes — and learned the forgotten treasure is reportedly worth thousands of dollars.

Tom Clark, 81, said he found the ring using a metal detector while he was
treasure-hunting on farmland near Aylesbury, England, in 1979.

He kept the find, placing it in a metal tin and stowing it away in his mother’s
garage. He forgot about the ring for decades — until recently, when Clark
was rummaging through some boxes that he once kept at his mother’s
house.

The ring will be auctioned off on Aug. 27 and is expected to sell for an
estimated $10,000 to $12,000.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A Titanic survivor’s walking stick, (above) with an
electric light she used to signal for help from a lifeboat, sold for $62,500 at
an auction of maritime items.

Guernsey’s held the auction at the International Yacht Restoration School in Newport, Rhode Island, on Friday and Saturday. The top bid on Ella White’s
cane was $50,000, plus the surcharge added by the auction house.

Guernsey’s President Alan Ettinger had expected it to sell for far more, with
a pre-auction estimate of $300,000 to $500,000. He described it as one of the
most extraordinary items to have survived the sinking.

The walking stick was consigned to Guernsey’s by the Williams family in
Milford, Connecticut.
