“Summer In The City” reached number one on the Billboard Hot
100 in August 1966, for three consecutive weeks. The song is
ranked number 401 on Rolling Stone‘s list of The 500 Greatest
Songs of All Time.

The first of Francis’s three US #1’s, "Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool"
was also ranked on the R&B chart at #2 and was the only one of
Francis’s major hits to cross over to the C&W charts where it
peaked at #24.

Connie Francis (Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero) will be 77 in
December.

This Supremes song became the group’s eighth number-one single
when it topped the Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart for two weeks 
from November 13, 1966 through November 27, 1966.

Little Eva (Born Eva Narcissus Boyd in Belhaven, North Carolina)

(June 29, 1943 – April 10, 2003)

Little Eva scored a #1 hit in 1962 with the classic song "The Loco-Motion”. She
worked as a maid and babysitter before meeting her future producer, Gerry
Goffin. Eva stated in an interview that she was named after her aunt, which
prompted her family to call her "Little Eva.” She continued performing until
she was diagnosed with cervical cancer in October 2001.

"This Guy’s in Love with You" is a song written by Burt Bacharach and 
Hal David. Herb Alpert also recorded the song in Spanish and Italian.

Herbert "Herb" Alpert turned 80 in March.
