LAST #1 ON THE MOST PLAYED BY DJ’s CHART

In July of 1958 one of Cuban bandleader Pérez Prado’s own compositions, “Patricia” became the last record to ascend to #1 on the Most Played by
Disc Jockeys and Top 100 charts, both of which gave way the following
week to the then newly-introduced Billboard Hot 100 chart.

DINO HAD THE #1 SONG ON THIS DATE IN 1964

”Everybody Loves Somebody” shot straight up to the top of
the Billboard Hot 100 and also topped the Billboard “ easy
listening” chart for eight weeks. It replaced "That’s Amore”
as Martin’s signature song which he sang as the theme of
his weekly television variety show from 1965 until 1974.
