to Lennon/McCartney. It was initially released on the movie
soundtrack of the same name in 1964 and later as a single.

Gary Lewis received a set of drums as a gift for his fourteenth birthday in
1960. When he was eighteen, Lewis formed what would become Gary Lewis
& the Playboys (then known as "Gary And The Playboys") with four of his
friends. He is the son of comedian and actor Jerry Lewis.

This song, written by John D. Loudermilk, became the Raiders biggest
hit and the best-selling single for Columbia Records.

“Bad, Bad Leroy Brown” spent two weeks at #1 on the Billboard
Hot 100. Croce was nominated for two Grammy awards in the Pop
Male Vocalist and Record of the Year categories for the song.
