Mosquitoes are members of a group of about 3,500 species of small
flies within the family Culicidae (from the Latin culex meaning
"gnat"). The word "mosquito" (formed by mosca and diminutive -ito)
is Spanish for "little fly".

The first couple to be shown in bed together on prime time
TV was Fred and Wilma Flintstone.

The Flintstones animated sitcom was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and was originally broadcast on ABC from September
30, 1960, to April 1, 1966.

In 2013, TV Guide ranked The Flintstones the second-greatest TV cartoon of
all time (after The Simpsons).
