Actress Pamela Reed  is most known as the voice of Ruth Powers in various
episodes of FOX-TV’s The Simpsons, and as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s partner
in the 1990 ,filmed in Oregon movie Kindergarten Cop. She currently appears
as Marlene Griggs-Knope on the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation. Reed was
was born in Tacoma, Washington.

The CBS-TV series ran from 1959 to 1963 and was based on Hank Ketcham’s
long-running comic strip. It starred Jay North (above) as Dennis with Herbert
Anderson and Gloria Henry as his parents. The DVD contains 5 Discs.

LAST TONIGHT SHOW WITH JACK PAAR WAS ON THIS DATE IN 1962

Jack Paar (above) succeed Steve Allen as host of The Tonight Show in 1957. At first,
the show was called The Tonight Show With Jack Paar; after 1959 it was officially
known as Tonight With Jack Paar. Jack was often unpredictable and emotional. On February 11, 1960, he received national attention by walking off the show when NBC censors cut a joke from his monologue. He didn’t return to the show until three weeks later. Paar signed off the show for the last time on Thursday night, March 29, 1962.

JACK BENNY’S RADIO DEBUT ON THIS DATE IN 1932

Jack Benny was eager to break into the new medium of radio. In 1932, after a four 
week nightclub run, he was invited onto a radio program hosted by his friend Ed
Sullivan, uttering his first radio spiel "This is Jack Benny talking. There will be a
slight pause
while you say, ‘Who cares?’’ With Canada Dry Ginger Ale as a
sponsor, Jack soon had his own radio show, The Canada Dry Program, which
began May 2, 1932 on the NBC Blue Network.
