GOLDIE HAWN IS 70 TODAY



Goldie Jeanne Hawn was born in Washington, D.C.

The former star of Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In (NBC, 1968-1973) 
and the film The Sugarland Express (1974) taught at and ran a
ballet school before fame. Hawn starred in Cactus Flower, for
which she won the 1969 Academy Award for Best Supporting
Actress
.


Goldie Hawn has been with actor Kurt Russell for over 30 years.

The program was devised by and starred Gertrude Berg

The NBC comedy/drama The Goldbergs began as a weekly
15-minute radio program called The Rise of the Goldbergs
and went daily in 1931. The series moved to CBS in 1936
with the title shortened to The Goldbergs. The show aired
until 1946. It made the switch to television in 1949 and ran
until 1956.

MOVIE PREMIERED ON THIS DAY IN 1963

The epic comedy film It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World was produced and
directed by Stanley Kramer and features Spencer Tracy with an all-star cast 
including Jimmy Durante, Edie Adams, Milton Berle, Sid Caesar, Buddy Hackett,
Ethel Merman, Mickey Rooney, Phil Silvers, Terry-Thomas and Jonathan
Winters

ACTRESS SALLY FIELD IS 69 TODAY

Sally Margaret Field is known for her film roles in Smokey and the
Bandit
(1977), Norma Rae (1979), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), Forrest Gump 
(1994), and Lincoln (2012). She was a High School cheerleader in
Van Nuys, California before starring as Gidget on ABC-TV from
1965 to 1966. She also portrayed Sister Bertrille in The Flying Nun
on ABC from 1967 to 1970.

HENRY WINKLER IS 70 TODAY


Henry Franklin Winkler was born in New, York.

Winkler rose to popularity protraying The Fonz on Happy Days during the 1970s
on ABC television. He made his acting debut in his 8th grade school production
of Billy Budd, after which he earned his bachelor’s degree from Emerson College
in 1967 and graduated from Yale School of Drama in 1970.
