ACTOR KEN BERRY TURNED 78 TODAY
Kenneth Ronald "Ken" Berry is a dancer, comedic actor as well as a
singer. He began on stage as a dancer and later starred in television
sitcoms such as his portrayal of Captain Wilton Parmenter on ABC’s
F Troop (1965-1967).

The Mickey Mouse Club is an variety television show created for children by Walt
Disney Productions that aired on ABC –TV from Monday October 3, 1955 to 1959. It featured a regular but ever changing cast of young performers. The show was hosted
by songwriter Jimmie Dodd (below). The main cast members were called Mouseketeers who performed in a variety of musical and dance numbers.
CHUBBY HAD THE #1 HIT ON THIS DAY IN 1960
“The Twist” gave birth to a dance craze when Chubby Checker released
the song in 1960. The song was written and originally released in 1959
by Hank Ballard and the midnighters.
