Nightline (or ABC News Nightline) is a weeknight late-evening news program,
broadcast by ABC. The program featured Ted Koppel (above) as its main
anchor from March 1980 until his retirement from the program in November
2005. It is now anchored, on an alternating basis by several hosts. In 2002,
Nightline was ranked 23rd on TV Guide’s 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time
and has won three Peabody Awards, one in 2001, and two in 2002.
