Brigitte (Anne-Marie) Bardot is a French former fashion model, actress
and singer, and animal rights activist. In her early life, Bardot was an
aspiring ballet dancer. She started her acting career in 1952. Bardot
retired from the entertainment industry in 1973. During her show career in
show business , Bardot starred in 47 films, performed in numerous musical
shows, and recorded 80 songs. She has since established herself as an
animal rights activist.

Cheryl Rae Tiegs is a model and actress who, by the time she was 17 years old,
appeared on the cover of Glamour magazine (below). Others included the covers  
of Harper’s Bazaar, Time (above), Sports Illustrated, and Vogue.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the famous ruby slippers worn by Judy
Garland’s character Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz"(1939) are expected to sell
between $2 million and $3 million at an auction in December.The paper reports
the slippers are one of only four pairs used on-screen that are known to have
survived.
