THE FIRST ‘’BIG BUG’’ FILM

Them!, was Warner Brothers’ highest grossing film of 1954 and was the first 
motion picture to have “monsters” generated by mutations due to nuclear 
activity. It was nominated for an
Oscar for Special Effects and won a Golden Reel Award for Best Sound Editing. Leonard Nimoy appears as an Air Force sergeant (below) in the Communications Room (uncredited).

The Sci-Fi franchise Star Trek, created by Gene Roddenberry, aired the
first season episode of Star Trek: The Original Series on NBC-TV entitled
"The Man Trap". It was written by
George Clayton Johnson, and directed
by
Marc Daniels.  

After three seasons, NBC television canceled the show, and the last
original episode aired on June 3, 1969.

director, producer and entrepreneur. He is the current President of the
Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).

As a film director and producer, he won two Academy Awards for Gandhi
in 1982. He has also won four BAFTA Awards and three Golden Globe
Awards
. As an actor he is perhaps best known for his roles in Brighton
Rock
(1947), The Great Escape (1963), 10 Rillington Place (1971),
Miracle on 34th Street
(1994) and Jurassic Park (1993).
