John Geoghan, The Pedophile Priest Killed By A Molestation Victim In Jail

John Joseph "Jack" Geoghan (left ) (June 4, 1935 – August 23, 2003)
was an American serial
child rapist and Catholic priest assigned to parishes in the Archdiocese of Boston in Massachusetts. He was reassigned to several parish posts involving interaction with
children, even after receiving treatment for
pedophilia.

Geoghan was convicted of sexual abuse, laicized, and sentenced in
2002 to nine to ten years in
Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center,
a
maximum security prison.

Less than a year later, he was murdered there by Joseph Druce 
(above right) an inmate serving a life sentence.

MOVIE HAT HAS SOLD FOR TOP DOLLAR

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The brown felt fedora worn by actor
Harrison Ford in the second installment of the Indiana
Jones movies sold for $630,000 at auction, film and TV
memorabilia company Propstore announced Friday.

The hat featured in 1984’s "Indiana Jones and the Temple
of Doom" was expected to fetch between $250,000 and
$500,000, according to the item’s online description.

The fedora comes from the personal collection of the late
stunt performer Dean Ferrandini, who also wore it while
standing in for Ford as Jones, the dashing archaeologist
who really hates snakes.

On August 11, 1973, the nostalgic teenage coming-of-age
movie American Graffiti, directed and co-written by George
Lucas, opened in theaters across the United States. Set in
California in the summer of 1962, American Graffiti was
nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Director
and Best Picture, and helped launch the big-screen careers
of Richard Dreyfuss and Harrison Ford, as well as the former
child actor and future Oscar-winning filmmaker Ron Howard.

The film’s success enabled Lucas to get his next movie made,
the mega-hit Star Wars (1977).
