NEW YORK (AP) — Jerry Butler, a premier soul singer of the
1960s and after whose rich, intimate baritone graced such
hits as "For Your Precious Love," "Only the Strong Survive"
and "Make It Easy On Yourself," has died. 

Butler’s niece, Yolanda Goff, told the Chicago Sun-Times that
Butler died Thursday from Parkinson’s disease at his home
in Chicago.

Upon graduating high school in 1950, country music legend Willie
Nelson ventured into the Air Force, embarking on a journey that
would unexpectedly shape his path.

Jennings was a singer, songwriter, musician, and actor. He
is considered one of the pioneers of the outlaw movement
in country music.

On February 13, 2002, Jennings died in his sleep from
complications of diabetes at his home in Chandler,
Arizona, aged 64.

Jennings worked as a performer and DJ on radio KLLL in
1958.
