RELEASED ON THIS DAY IN 1967

The song "You’re My Everything" was recorded by The Temptations and was 
first of three singles (and four songs) to be co-written for the group by Motown songwriter Roger Penzabene. It reached number three on the R&B chart and
number six on the Pop chart. The record became the third single from the
group’s 1967 album The Temptations with a Lot o’ Soul.

JIM NABORS IS 86 TODAY


James Thurston "Jim" Nabors was born in Alabama.

Jim Nabors is well known for his portrayal of Gomer Pyle on the
Andy Griffith Show on CBS (1960-1968) and the show’s spin-off
series Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. on CBS (1964-1969). His first job
in television was a film cutter for NBC.

on the Pop Charts. The song is featured in the
popular Fallout video game (1997) as the opening

SINGLE RELEASED ON THIS DAY IN 1967

The song "I Was Made to Love Her" by Stevie Wonder peaked at number-
two on the Billboard Pop Singles chart in July 1967. It was held out of the
top spot by "Light My Fire" by The Doors and spent four non-consecutive
weeks at number-one on the Hot Rhythm & Blues Singles chart.

           


Stevie Wonder (Stevland Hardaway Judkins) turned 66 in May.
