FORMER SNL CAST MEMBER DIES AT 57

Janice "Jan" Hooks (April 23, 1957 – October 9, 2014)

Hooks passed away this morning in New York City. Though, according
to her agent, cause of death is unknown, she was reportedly battling
a “serious illness”. The actress and comedienne was best known for
her work on NBC‘s Saturday Night Live (SNL), where she was a
repertory player from 1986 to 1991, and cameo appearances until
1994.

ROCK BAND LEADER HAS DIED AT 76

Paul Revere (January 7, 1938 – October 4, 2014)

Paul Revere, of Paul Revere and the Raiders died peacefully today at his home
in Idaho. He had been battling with cancer over the past year, according to the
website for Rolling Stone. Memorial services are pending.

VERSATILE ACTOR HAS DIED AT 98

Donald H. "Don" Keefer

(August 18, 1916 – September 7, 2014)

Keefer, a versatile character actor for six decades who
starred in the original 1949 Broadway production of Death
of a Salesman
and made an indelible impression as “a bad
man, a very bad man” on The Twilight Zone, died September
7 of natural causes in his Sherman Oaks home.  

Don Keefer’s longest-lasting roles were in ten episodes each
of the CBS series, Gunsmoke, starring James Arness, and
Angel
, a 1960-1961 sitcom featuring French-American actress
Annie Fargé.

Polly Bergen (born Nellie Paulina Burgin in Knoxville, Tennessee)

                            (July 14, 1930 – September 20, 2014)

NEW YORK (AP) –  Emmy-winning actress and singer Polly Bergen, who
in a long career played the terrorized wife in the original "Cape Fear"
(1962) and the first woman president in 1964’s "Kisses for My President,"
died Saturday.

According to her publicist Judy Katz, Bergen died at her home in Southbury,
Connecticut, from natural causes. She was surrounded by family and close
friends.

In recent years, she played Felicity Huffman’s mother on ABC’s "Desperate
Housewives" (2007-2011) and the past mistress of Tony Soprano’s late
father on HBO’s "The Sopranos." (1999-2007).

MOVIE CHOPPER GOES UP FOR AUCTION

NEW YORK (AP) – The customized Captain America chopper Peter Fonda rode
in "Easy Rider" has come to symbolize the counterculture of the 1960s. Now it’s
for sale.

The auction house Profiles in History told The Associated Press that it estimates
the Harley-Davidson will bring $1 million to $1.2 million at its Oct. 18 sale being
held online and at its galleries in Calabasas, California.

The seller is Michael Eisenberg, a California businessman who once co-owned
a Los Angeles motorcycle-themed restaurant with Fonda and "Easy Rider" co-
star Dennis Hopper.
