George Orson Welles (May 6, 1915 – October 10, 1985)

Dick Tracy is a comic strip featuring Dick Tracy (originally Plainclothes Tracy),a
police detective created by Chester Gould. The strip made its debut in the Detroit
Mirror. It was distributed by the Chicago Tribune New York News Syndicate. Gould
wrote and drew the strip until 1977.

Little Orphan Annie was a daily comic strip created by Harold Gray (1894–1968)
and syndicated by the Tribune Media Services. The strip took its name from the
1885 poem "Little Orphant Annie" by James Whitcomb Riley, and made its debut
in the New York Daily News. It ranked number one in popularity in a Fortune poll
in 1937.
