SAM ELLIOTT TURNED 67 TODAY
Actor Sam Elliott was born in Sacramento, California and later moved to
Oregon with his family during his teenage years. He graduated from David
Douglas High School in Portland and attended Clark College in Vancouver,
Washington, where he completed a two-year program. Elliott began his
career as a character actor; his appearance and bearing were ideally
suited to Westerns. One of his first film roles was as ‘Card Player #2’ in
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969).
In 1970-71, Sam Elliott starred as Doug Robert in the popular TV series
Mission: Impossible in 1970 to 1971, and played the lead character Sam
Damon in the NBC miniseries Once an Eagle (1976-1977). Sam was also
the oldest brother in the made-for-TV NBC miniseries The Sacketts which
also starred Tom Selleck.

the story of The Big Lebowski (1998).
SALLY STRUTHERS IS 63 TODAY
Sally Ann Struthers was born in Portland, Oregon where she attended Grant
High School. Sally is best-known for her role as Gloria Stivic on All in the
Family. The sitcom was originally broadcast on the CBS television network
from January 12, 1971 to April 8, 1979. In September 1979, a new show,
Archie Bunker’s Place, picked up where All in the Family had ended. This
sitcom lasted another four years, ending its run in 1983. Struthers won
two Emmy awards for her character. She also played Babette on the sitcom
Gilmore Girls which debuted in 2000 on the WB TV network and was later
cancelled in its seventh season in 2007 on the CW television network.
