John Stephen Goodman is a popular film, television, and 
stage actor. He is best known for his role as Dan Conner 
on the ABC television series Roseanne (1988-1997) for 
which he won a Best Actor Golden Globe Award in 1993.

Father’s Day was founded in 1910 by Sonora Smart Dodd, born in Arkansas
from Spokane, who was also the driving force behind its establishment. It
was first celebrated in Spokane, Washington on June 19, 1910.
