Born Jacob Lincoln Freund, Forsythe was a stage, television and
film actor. He starred in three TV series, spanning four decades
and three genres. He was Bentley Gregg in the sitcom Bachelor
Father
(1959-1962), as the unseen millionaire Charles Townsend
in Charlie’s Angels (1976-1981), and as Blake Carrington on the
prime time soap drama Dynasty (1981-1989). John Forsythe also
hosted World of Survival (1971-1977).

roles as Tim O’Hara on the CBS sitcom My Favorite Martian, Tom Corbett
on on the ABC comedy-drama series The Courtship of Eddie’s Father,
and Dr. David Banner on the CBS drama series The Incredible Hulk.

The Jeffersons is a CBS sitcom that aired from Saturday, January 18, 1975, through June 25, 1985. lasting 11 seasons for a total of 253 episodes. It was the longest-
running sitcom with a predominantly African American cast in the history of American
television. The show was the second spin-off of All in the Family, on which George
and Louise Jefferson had been neighbors of Archie and Edith Bunker. The series 
was created by producer Norman Lear.

My Friend Irma
, starring Marie Wilson, was created by writer/producer Cy Howard
and was a top-rated, long-run CBS radio situation comedy from 1947 to 1954. It
became so successful that it evolved to films and a comic book series. My Friend
Irma,
with Wilson in the lead role, became a television show on CBS premiering on Tuesday, January 8, 1952 and ran until June 1954. It was the first series telecast
from the CBS Television City facility in Hollywood.
