Joseph Anthony Campanella was born in New York City, New York

Joseph Campanella is a character actor who has appeared in more than
two hundred television and film roles since 1955. He also starred in the
soap operas, Guiding Light and Days of Our Lives.

Before fame, he become one of the youngest skippers from the wartime
navy at age sixteen.

was a 15-minute radio soap about a female
private detective who was a former Ziegfeld Follies’ showgirl. It
first aired on CBS and then switched to Mutual. Kitty was played
by Beverley Younger, Gail Henshaw and Fran Carlon. The series
ran till April 25, 1941 and was sponsored by Procter and Gamble.
