Henry Louis "Hank" Aaron
(February 5, 1934 – January 22, 2021)

Hank Aaron ("Hammer" or "Hammerin’ Hank"), was a pro
baseball right fielder who played 23 seasons in Major
League Baseball (MLB), from 1954 through 1976.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest baseball players
in history, he spent 21 seasons with the Milwaukee/
Atlanta Braves in the National League (NL) and two
seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers in the American
League (AL).

His 755 career home runs broke the long-standing MLB
record set by Babe Ruth and stood as the most for 33
years; Aaron still holds many other MLB batting records.

He hit 24 or more home runs every year from 1955 through
1973 and is one of only two players to hit 30 or more home
runs in a season at least fifteen times. In 1982, he was
inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in his
first year of eligibility.

Dr. Thomas Newman’s treasure trove — featuring cards of

going to be auctioned off.

More than 1,000 baseball, football and hockey cards dating
back to 1880 will be for sale to the highest bidder.

the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle for $5.2 million. The card was
graded by PSA as a Mint 9 and is one of only six PSA 9 1952
Mickey Mantle cards in the world.

Whitey Ford, one of the most talented pitchers in baseball history, who
helped lead the New York Yankees to a string of World Series
wins in the 1950s and ’60s died at his home in Lake Success on
Long Island. He had suffered from dementia for several years.

Ford was the second-oldest living member of the Hall of Fame after Tommy Lasorda at the time of his death.

card in the world continues to be told. The 1909-11 T206
Honus Wagner set a new world record price for a baseball
card, selling for $3.12 million through Goldin Auctions. The
price includes the Buyers Premium. This breaks the old
record of $2.8 million, which was paid for a different copy
of the card in 2007.

Known as the “Jumbo Wagner,” the card is graded a PSA
5, making it one of the top-condition copies of the card.
