The first version of Microsoft’s Windows operating 
system software was released on this date in 1985.

In 1963 Bell Telephone introduced the Push-Button
Telephone with Touch-Tone dialing.

Robert Fulton, an  American engineer and inventor is credited 
with developing the first commercially successful steamboat.

‘MR. WIZARD’, with host Don Herbert, premiered March 3,1951
on NBC-TV and featured Herbert and guest kid’s conducting
science experiments. Don won a Peabody award for his work
on the program which aired for 30-minutes every Saturday
morning until it was cancelled in 1965. Herbert was a General
Science and English Major at the University of Wisconson.
