HUGH O’BRIAN IS 91 TODAY

 (Hugh Charles Krampe)
was born in
Rochester, New York.

O’Brian is known for his starring roles in the19551961 ABC western television
series
, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp and the 1972-1973 NBC action
television series Search. Hugh had a small role in John Wayne‘s last film, The Shootist (1976).

On June 25, 2006, O’Brian married for the first time at age 81 to 64-year-old 
Virginia Barber. The ceremony was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with
the Rev.
Robert Schuller officiating.

ACTRESS HALEY MILLS IS 70 TODAY


Hayley Catherine Rose Vivien Mills is the daughter of John Mills.

British actress Haley Mills played teen twins in The Parent Trap (1961) and 
received a BAFTA Award for Most Promising Newcomer for her performance
in the 1959 film Tiger Bay.

Adoline and Charles Ceciliani on the dance floor opening night.

The Division Street Corral was a famous dance hall built by Charles & Adoline
Ceciliani that opened in December of 1948 at S.E.171st and Division in Portland,
Oregon. Famous entertainers who performed there included: Johnny Cash, Hank
Thompson, Bobby Vinton, Paul Revere & the Raiders, Ray Price, Bobby Vee, The
Ventures, Bobby Darin, and many more.

After a suspected arson fire that destroyed parts of the building, the Cecilianis
renovated and eventually leased the corral to renters, including an evangelist,
bingo group and flea market. It was demolished in late March 2007 and is now
the site of a affordable housing development (shown below).

D Street Salal opened in September 2015 as the Portland Habilitation
Center’s ninth affordable housing project, and third in it’s partnership
with Home First Development.

ROY CLARK IS 83 TODAY


Roy Linwood Clark was born in Meherrin, Virginia.

Country musician Roy Clark hosted Hee Haw for 20 years on CBS/syndication. He 
frequently guest-hosted for Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show during the 1970s. 

Clark is highly regarded and renowned as a guitarist and banjo player, and is also
skilled in classical guitar along with several other instruments. He is a member of
the Grand Ole Opry, since 1987 and The Country Music Hall of Fame.
