John Randolph "Jack" Webb (April 2, 1920 – December 23, 1982)

Webb was a actor, television producer, director, and screenwriter,
who is best remembered for his role as Sergeant Joe Friday in the
radio and television series, Dragnet. He was also the founder of his
own production company, Mark VII Limited.

Jane Powell (born Suzanne Lorraine Burce in Portland, Oregon)

Singer, dancer, and actress Jane Powell is still active in television
and theater.

George Richard Chamberlain was born in Beverly Hills, California.

Chamberlain starred on Dr. Kildare on NBC (1961 – 1966). The role
earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor
in a Motion Picture Made for Television. Since then, he has appeared
in several mini-series such as The Thorn Birds on ABC (1983), many
successful films, performed classical stage roles and worked in the
musical theatre.

This song became a hit for Chamberlain when released as a single
in 1963, peaking at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Art Fleming

The original daytime version of Jeopardy! debuted on NBC television in March of
1964 and aired until January 3, 1975. The general knowledge game show was
created by Merv Griffin with Art Fleming (above) as the original host. 

 
Various versions of the show have since followed with Alex Trebek
(above) as the present host.
