The Everly Brothers Show was a one-hour musical variety show on the ABC
television network. It began as a summer replacement for The Johnny Cash 
Show
. Guests included Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers and The First Edition,
Melanie and comic
Albert Brooks. Plus show regulars Ruth McDevitt, Joe
Higgins, Dick Clair and Jenna McMahon, with music by Jack Elliott and Allyn
Ferguson.

SHOW DEBUTED ON THIS DAY IN 1933



Thursday was Bing’s day from 1937 to 1946 on “The Kraft  Music Hall”.

The Kraft Music Hall was a popular variety program, featuring top show
business entertainers and orchestra leader Paul Whiteman. It aired on 
NBC radio until 1958. Ford Bond was the announcer. The show was one
hour in length until cut to a half hour in January 1943.

Edward Vincent "Ed" Sullivan
(September 28, 1901 – October 13, 1974)

The Ed Sullivan Show, originally called The Toast of the Town, was a TV variety
show
that ran on CBS from Sunday June 20, 1948 to Sunday June 6, 1971, and
was hosted by New York entertainment columnist Ed Sullivan. In 1996 Sullivan
was ranked No. 50 on TV Guide’s "50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time".
