Emergency! is a action-adventure medical drama television series
jointly produced by Mark VII Limited and Universal Television. 

The series debuted on NBC as a midseason replacement on January
15, 1972, replacing the two short-lived situation comedy series The           
Partners and The Good Life.

On December 2, 2001, the Enron Corporation filed for Chapter
11 bankruptcy protection in a New York court, sparking one of
the largest corporate scandals in U.S. history.

An energy-trading company based in Houston, Texas, Enron
was formed in 1985 as the merger of two gas companies,
Houston Natural Gas and Internorth. Under chairman and
CEO Kenneth Lay, Enron rose as high as number seven on
Fortune magazine’s list of the top 500 U.S. companies.

In 2000, the company employed 21,000 people and posted
revenue of $111 billion. Over the next year, however, Enron’s
stock price began a dramatic slide, dropping from $90.75 in
August 2000 to $0.26 by closing on November 30, 2001.

Enron’s collapse had cost investors billions of dollars, wiped
out some 5,600 jobs and liquidated almost $2.1 billion in
pension plans.

(Fox News) – A nearly 27-year-old cat from England has been
named the world’s oldest living cat by Guinness World Records

.

Flossie, the record-breaking feline, received verification from
the world record reference guide, on Nov. 10, according to a
press release. 

Guinness World Records says Flossie was born on Dec. 29, 1995,
and she received her verification at the "nyan-tastic age of 26
years 316 days."

The world record guide claims Flossie’s age is "equivalent" to
about "120 human years."

The British brown and black cat received official recognition from Guinness World Records on Thursday.

In Montgomery, Alabama on December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks was
jailed for refusing to give up her seat on a public bus to a white
man, a violation of the city’s racial segregation laws.

The successful Montgomery Bus Boycott, organized by a young
Baptist minister named Martin Luther King, Jr., followed Park’s
historic act.
