years. Scotty has been playing the guitar since he was eight-years
old. Rolling Stone magazine has Scotty Moore on their list of 100
Greatest Guitarists of All Time.

IT WAS A SECRET MEETING ON THIS DATE IN 1970

The meeting between President Nixon, left and Elvis Presley,
right, was requested by Elvis to discuss how the rock star
could help the country fight the growing drug problem. Elvis
suggested that he might be made a “Federal Agent at-large
in the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs”. The oval
office visit lasted only 30 minutes.

A REALLY BIG SHOW IN SUNDAY NIGHT’S

The “Ed Sullivan Show”, originally ”Toast of the Town”, aired on
CBS TV from Sunday June 20, 1948 to Sunday June 6, 1971. The
Show was hosted by New York entertainment columnist Ed Sullivan.
Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis were among the guests of the first
show. Elvis Presley and The Beatles also made appearances.
A little Italian mouse named Topo Gigo was a regular guest.
