Carl Weathers, former football player turned actor, is best known
for playing Apollo Creed in the Rocky film series (1976 – 1990).

        Anne Francis died Sunday of natural cause at a nursing home in  
        Santa Barbara, California. She was most remembered for her
        role in the science fiction classic Forbidden Planet (1956). Her
        career began at the early age of eleven on Broadway.
