The prime-time TV soap Dallas premiered as a five-part miniseries on CBS,
followed by a thirteen season run until May 3, 1991. The show revolved around
the Ewing’s, a wealthy Texas family in the oil and cattle ranching industries. Larry
Hagman stars as the greedy, scheming oil baron J.R. Ewing and Patrick Duffy
as his younger brother Bobby. The show also starred veteran actress Barbara
Bel Geddes as the head of the family Miss Ellie. Dallas was included in Time
magazine’s 2007 list of "100 Best TV Shows of All Time”.
