John Mellencamp, previously known by the stage name John Cougar Mellencamp,
is a rock singer-songwriter, musician, painter and occasional actor. He has sold
over 40 million albums worldwide and has had 22 Top 40 hits. John has been
nominated for 13 Grammy Awards, winning one. Mellencamp was inducted
into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 10, 2008.
