NPR’S FIRST NEWS PROGRAM ON THIS DAY IN 1971

All Things Considered (ATC) is the flagship news program on the broadcast
network National Public Radio (NPR). It was the first news program on NPR,
and is broadcast live worldwide through several outlets.
NPR is a privately- and publicly-funded non-profit media organization that
serves a network of 900 public radio stations in the United States. It replaced
the National Educational Radio Network on February 26, 1970.
GAME BECAME POPULAR ON THIS DAY IN 1966
Twister is a game of physical skill produced by Hasbro Games. It was designed by Charles F. Foley and Neil Rabens in 1966, and became a success when Eva Gabor played it with Johnny Carson (above) on television’s Tonight Show on May 3, 1966.
