“Kodachrome” is named after the Kodak 35mm film of the same name. The
song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and five weeks later, moved to
#9, peaking at #2. “Kodachrome” was not released as a single in Britain
because the BBC would not play the trademarked name.

Pernell Elven Roberts, Jr. (May 18, 1928 – January 24, 2010)
Pernell Roberts was a stage, movie and television actor, as well as a
singer. In addition to guest starring in over 60 television series, he was
widely known for his roles as Ben Cartwright’s eldest son, Adam Cartwright,
on the western series Bonanza, a role he played from 1959 to 1965 and as
chief surgeon Dr. John McIntyre, the title character on Trapper John, M.D.
(1979–1986).

Frank Capra was one of the most powerful directors during the 1930s,
winning three Oscars as Best Director. Among his leading films was It
Happened One Night (1934), which became the first film to win all five
top Oscars, including Best Picture. Other leading films included Mr.
Deeds Goes to Town (1936), Lost Horizon (1937), Mr.Smith Goes
to Washington (1939), and It’s a Wonderful Life (1946).
