"Casey at the Bat: A Ballad of the Republic Sung in the Year 1888" is a
baseball poem written in 1888 by Ernest Thayer. It was first published in
The San Francisco Examiner on June 3, 1888, it was later popularized
by DeWolf Hopper in many vaudeville performances.The poem was
originally published anonymously (under the pen name "Phin",
based on Thayer’s college nickname, "Phineas").

RICHARD DAWSON IS DEAD AT 79
Richard Dawson (30 November 1932 – 2 June 2012)
(Fox News) Former host of "Family Feud" Richard Dawson has died at
79 from complications due to esophageal cancer.
Dawson’s son, Gary, announced the death in a Facebook message, TMZ
reports.
“He was an amazing talent, a loving husband, a great dad, and a doting
grandfather. He will be missed but always remembered, “the message read.
Dawson hosted the popular game show from 1976-1985 and 1994-1995. He
was also known for his role as Corporal Newkirk in "Hogan’s Heroes."
