FILM PREMIERED ON THIS DAY IN 1959

On the Beach is a post-apocalyptic drama film directed by Stanley Kramer
and written by John Paxton. Kramer won the 1960 BAFTA for best director
and Ernest Gold won the 1960 Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture Score.
