Donald Scott "Don" Drysdale (July 23, 1936 – July 3, 1993)

Drysdale was a Major League Baseball player and Hall of Fame
right-handed pitcher with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was one
of the dominant starting pitchers of the 1960s who pitched 6
shouts in a row. He became a radio and television broadcaster
following his playing career.

REMEMBER THE SUNDAY NIGHT MOVIE?

The ABC Sunday Night Movie presented theatrical feature films airing on
TV for the first time. The feature films were edited for content, to remove
objectionable material, It was famous in the late 1970s for its theme music 
and brightly colored marquee. For many years, until the early 1980s, the
announcer for all of ABC’s movie shows was network staff announcer Joel
Crager
(below).

Ratched
in One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest in 1975, for which she won the
Academy Award for Best Actress, BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading
Role
and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama.

     Ernest Miller Hemingway
(July 21, 1899 – July 2, 1961)

Hemingway was an American author and journalist whose writing style
had a strong influence on 20th-century fiction. He produced most of his
work between the mid-1920s and the mid-1950s, and won the Nobel
Prize in Literature
in 1954. He published seven novels, six short story
collections and two non-fiction works. Three novels, four collections of
short stories and three non-fiction works were published posthumously
and many of these are considered classics of American literature.
