   Dennis Carl Wilson (December 4, 1944 – December 28, 1983)

Wilson was a member of The Beach Boys from its formation in 1961 until
his death by drowning in 1983. Dennis was a writer and lead vocalist of the
group and released a solo album in 1977 called  Pacific Ocean Blue which
received wide critical acclaim and sold well.

Dennis was the middle brother of fellow Beach Boys members Brian Wilson
and Carl Wilson, and cousin of Mike Love. He was also the only real-life
surfer of the group.
