Motown music legend Martha Reeves is in Portland for two
shows beginning Thursday night at Jimmy Mak’s. She will be
reuniting with former Motown drummer and Portland’s own
Mel Brown.

Hank Ketcham with his son Dennis, on whom the cartoon was based

Henry King Ketcham (March 14, 1920 – June 1, 2001)

Hank Ketcham was a Painter and cartoonist who created Dennis
the Menace comic strip in 1951. Ketcham was born in Seattle,
Washington and dropped out of the University of Washington
after one year and hitchhiked to California, hoping to work for
the Disney studios.
