FIRST SUCCESSFUL TV NETWORK KID’S SHOW
Small Fry Club (also known as Movies for Small Fry) is one of the earliest TV
series made for children. It aired on the DuMont Television Network from
March 11, 1947 to June 15, 1951 and afterwards was produced and aired in
Boston on WBZ-TV until 1968. It was hosted by "Big Brother Bob Emery".

Lawrence Welk (March 11, 1903 – May 17, 1992)
Lawrence Welk was musician, accordionist, bandleader, and who hosted
The Lawrence Welk Show from 1955 to 1982 on ABC. His style came to
be known to his large number of fans as "champagne music". Welk had
been leading bands from the age of 21.
