REMEMBERING RITCHIE

                 Ritchie Valens (Richard Steven Valenzuela)

                          (May 13, 1941 – February 3, 1959)

Valens was a pioneer of the Spanish-Speaking rock and roll movement
with a a career lasting only eight months. During this short span of time,
he had several hits, most notably was “La Bamba” in 1958.

Ritchie died in a tragic plane crash that also claimed the lives of fellow
rock musicians Buddy Holly and J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson on
February 3, 1959 in Iowa.

Lawrence Peter "Yogi" Berra is a former Major League Baseball catcher,
outfielder, and manager and is widely regarded as one of the greatest
catchers in baseball history. He played most of his nineteen year 
baseball career (1946–1965) for the New York Yankees. Berra was 
elected to
the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972.
