Slim Whitman (Ottis Dewey Whitman, Jr.)
(January 20, 1923 – June 19, 2013)
Whitman, a country music singer/songwriter and instrumentalist,
known for his yodeling and smooth high octave falsetto, died of
heart failure at Orange Park Medical Center in Florida. He had
recorded more than 65 albums and sold in excess of 120 million
records.
A real loss for all of us.
