DENNIS WEAVER’S BIRTHDAY
William Dennis Weaver (June 4, 1924 – February 24, 2006)
Weaver played the role of Deputy Chester on the long-running CBS
television series, Gunsmoke beginning in 1955 and later the Marshal
McCloud on the NBC series, McCloud (1970-1977). He also appeared
in the 1971 made for TV movie Duel, the first film of director Steven
Spielberg.

Catherine Rosalind Russell (June 4, 1907 – November 28, 1976)
Russell was an actress of stage and screen, known for playing character
roles such as a newspaper reporter in the Howard Hawks 1940 comedy
His Girl Friday, as well as the role of Mame Dennis in the 1958 film Auntie
Mame. She won all five Golden Globes for which she was nominated. She
was one of the few actresses of her time who regularly played professional
women, such as judges, reporters, and psychiatrists. Her career span was
from the 1930s to the 1970s.
BRUCE DERN IS 78 TODAY
Dern has appeared in more than 80 feature films, and received Academy
Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor for the 1978 film Coming
Home and Best Actor for the 2013 film Nebraska.
Before fame, Bruce Dern was heavily involved in track as a long distance
runner while in high school.
