SOUND SATISFACTION ON THIS DAY IN 1965

 


In their Clearwater, Florida hotel room, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards
worked out the opening guitar riff of "Satisfaction", following the purchase 
of a Gibson fuzz-box (similar to below) by Richards earlier that day.

Tyrone Edmund Power, Jr., (May 5, 1914 – November 15, 1958)

From 1930s to the 1950s Power appeared in dozens of films, often in
swashbuckler roles or romantic leads. His better-known films include
The Mark of Zorro (1940), Blood and Sand (1941), and The Black
Swan
(1942). Power died from a heart attack at the age of 44.
