Shelley Alexis Duvall (July 7, 1949 – July 11, 2024)
(ASSOCIATED PRESS) – "The Shining" star Shelley Duvall has died
at the age of 75.
Duvall, who shot to international fame when she starred as Wendy Torrance in Stanley Kubrick’s iconic 1980 adaptation of Stephen
King’s horror novel, died in her sleep of complications from
diabetes at her home in Blanco, Texas.
On July 11, 1804, in one of the most famous duels in American
history, Vice President Aaron Burr fatally shot his long-time
political antagonist Alexander Hamilton. Hamilton, a leading
Federalist and the chief architect of America’s political
economy, died the following day.
