The television version (NBC/ABC) starred Kirby Grant as Schuyler 
“Sky” King, an Arizona rancher and airplane pilot, with Gloria
Winters as his niece Penny and Sky’s nephew Clipper, played by
Ron Hagerty. 

The series had strong Western elements, King usually captured
criminals and spies and found lost hikers, though he did so with
the use of his airplane, the Songbird.

Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020)

Scottish actor and producer Sean Connery was best known as the
first actor to portray the character James Bond in film. Connery
died in his sleep at his home in Nassau in the Bahamas. His son
stated that he “had been unwell for some time”. Connery was 90.

Highway Patrol is a 156-episode action crime drama series produced
for syndication from 1955 to 1959. The TV series starred Broderick
Crawford (below) as Dan Mathews as the gruff and dedicated head
of a police force in an unidentified Western state.

Actor/Director Clint Eastwood (Clinton Eastwood Jr.) is 90
years old today.
