JACK NICHOLSON IS 74 YEARS OLD TODAY

Actor Jack Nicholson is also a film director, producer, and writer.He has been
nominated for Academy Awards 12 times. He has won the Academy Award for
Best Actor twice, for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975) and for As Good
as it Gets (1997). He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the
1983 film Terms of Endearment. He is tied with Walter Brennan for the most acting
wins by a male actor (three), and second to Katharine Hepburn for the most acting
wins overall (four). He is also one of only two actors nominated for an Academy
Award for acting (either lead or supporting) in every decade from the 1960s to
2000s (the other one being Michael Caine). In 1994, he became one of the
youngest actors to be awarded the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement
Award. Nicholson’s first big acting break came in 1969 with the Peter Fonda
and Dennis Hopper film Easy Rider.

Lionel  Hampton (April 20, 1908 – August 31, 2002) was a jazz vibraphonist, 
pianist ,drummer and bandleader. He was one the first jazz vibraphone players
and ranks among the great names in jazz history, having worked with musicians
like Benny Goodman, Buddy Rich, and Charlie Parker. He was inducted into the 
Alabama Jazz hall of Fame in 1992 and received the ‘One of a Kind” Award from
Broadcast Music, Inc. in 1986.

Annie Hall is a 1977 romantic comedy starring and directed by, Woody Allen and  
co-starring Diane Keaton. It is one of Allen’s most popular films and won four 
Academy Awards  including Best Picture. Movie critic Roger Ebert described it 
as “just about everyone’s favorite Woody Allen movie”.

Jessica Lange is a stage and screen actress whose career has spanned
thirty-five years. She has won two Academy Awards from six nominations,
four Golden Globes, and an Emmy. Jessica’s career began in 1976 when
Dino De Laurentis cast her in his remake of the film King Kong. Jessica is
most known for her roles in Sweet Dreams (1985), Blue Sky (1994), and
Tootsie (1982). Since 2000, Lange has mostly appeared in supporting
roles on screen.

James Howard Woods is a film, stage and television actor. He known for starring
in such films as The Onion Field (1979), Salvador (1986), and the movie Ghosts 
of Mississippi
(1996). Woods has won two Emmy Awards, and has gained two
Academy Award nominations. He has lent his voice to the Disney studios for the 
character Hades in Hercules (1997). He also has appeared in several episodes 
of Family Guy as an animated version of himself.
